Michael R. Candee

Michael Robert Candee, 67, a lifelong resident of Baldwinsville, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Francis House, after a courageous battle with glioblastoma. He is predeceased by his parents Irving and Virginia Candee and his in-laws Leo and Harriet Helander. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Kim (Helander) Candee; his children, Lauren Candee Worrell, Tyler (Emma) Candee, and Eric (Adriana) Candee; his grandchildren, Charlotte and Amelia Worrell, Tyler Candee Jr., and Madeline Candee. He is also survived by his siblings, Judy (Robert) Medina, Kevin (Cristina) Candee, Jackie Kowalski, and Jeff (Kelly) Candee and several nieces and nephews.

Michael was born in Baldwinsville, New York on December 13, 1958 and graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 1980. Michael built a successful career in Information Technology and Commercial Real Estate, most recently serving as Head of Regional Workplace, Americas at Ramboll.

Michael was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He had a lifelong love of reading and history and took great pride in tending to his yard. He most cherished time spent with his family, including trips to Disney World and Hilton Head. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services will be private and held for immediate family only.
