Michael Leroy Chapman, born on July 10, 1958, in Garden City, Michigan, passed away on March 27, 2025, in Hampshire, Tennessee. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, dedication, and an unwavering spirit to assist those around him.
Mike was known as the family's rock and was admired for his remarkable ability as a jack of all trades. His hands were familiar with the toil of farming, the challenges of Mechanics, and the rigors of construction work. He skillfully tended to the milk barn and worked diligently in hay fields, demonstrating a deep connection to the land and the labor it took to cultivate it. His fondness for mules and wagons was a testament to his appreciation for traditional methods of work, and he found great joy working in his shop, where his creativity and expertise flourished.
A devoted truck driver, Mike, was influential in the lives of many as he never turned down an opportunity to lend a hand or provide assistance. You could find him working horses with Emma or working in the shop with his grandsons. His heart was always open, and he consistently offered support to friends and family alike, embodying a spirit of unity and kindness.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemary Casey Chapman, and their children, Becky Ann (Jeremy) Smith and Jim Chapman, His grandchildren, Logan Casey Smith, Emma Kate, Eli James, and Presten George. Mike also leaves behind his mother, Jimmie Faye Cothran Chapman, his brothers, along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, George R. Chapman.
The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, from 10:00am until 2:00pm. A service for Mike will be held at 2:00pm at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, TN with son-in-law, Jeremy Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Boshers Family Cemetery in Hampshire, TN.
Pallbearers will be Jim Chapman, Ronnie Boshers, Ken Eldred, Brandon Eldred, Ian Eldred, Michael Casey, Steve Chapman, Eric Chapman, and Brian Chapman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Coworkers at TAP (Tennessee Aluminum Processing), State Wide Excavating in Michigan, Ridge View Dairy, Brooks Transport, and B.C. Farms.
