Mike was known for his infectious laughter and fun-loving spirit. He had a unique ability to bring joy and light into any room. With his heart of gold, he was a true friend to everyone he met. He was always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Mike was a big kid at heart, always up for an adventure or a good time. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
Survivors include his son Gavin Claypool, mother and stepfather Karen (Pierre) Zarzour, brother Jason Claypool and stepmother Beverly Claypool. He was preceded in death by his father Gerald A. Claypool. Calling hours will be from 5 PM until time of funeral service at 7 PM on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Private burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Condolences and memories of Mike may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
