It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Jimmy Coleman, who left this world on January 6, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on July 3, 1957, in Cleveland County, NC, Michael was a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend to many. He made his home in Kings Mountain, where he became known for his love of family, cars, and a good collection of guns.
Michael spent his days working as a driver in the auto transportation industry, where he was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His passion for working on cars was rivaled only by his strong sense of family.
He cherished every moment with his son, Michael Coleman (Cindy); grandson, Mikey Coleman; great grandchildren, Abel and Nova Coleman; sisters, Janie Murray, Brenda Howell (Dean), and Dianne Strickland; 2 sister-in-laws; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, ensuring that family came first, always.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Coleman; parents, Jimmie and Mary Coleman; son, Jason Coleman; brother, Larry Coleman.
A member of Midview Baptist Church, Michael found joy in his faith and was appreciative of the community that surrounded him. His kindness and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
All services for Michael will be held privately.
In celebrating his life, let us remember Michael for his warmth, laughter, and the love he shared. He may be gone, but his memory will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of all he touched.
Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service. Online condolences can be made at www.greenefuneral.com.
