Accompsett Student

Mr. Colletta was one of the funniest, enthusiastic, and enjoyable teachers we've ever had. When you talked with him, it was like talking with a close friend. We'll always miss you and your cheese puns.

Mr. Colletta was my favorite teacher at Accompsett Middle School. From when I had his class, I was welcomed and excited to learn; I formed a bond with him and began to visit him throughout my time at school. When I went off to other classes in school, I made sure to visit him, draw pictures, and share with my peers what I had learned. He forever stuck with me; he was a wonderful person. I enjoyed hearing about what he had accomplished and the amazing things he hoped to achieve.
His enthusiasm for education was contagious, inspiring not only me but countless other students to pursue our passions with the same fervor he demonstrated every day. I still remember the sparkle in his eyes when he talked about his love for technology and his admiration for music.
Mr. Colletta had a unique ability to connect even the most mundane subjects to the real world, making us see the relevance of our studies in our everyday lives.
I also fondly recall the way he encouraged us to think critically and creatively. Whether it was through debates in the classroom or projects that challenged our perspectives, he pushed us to voice our opinions and understand the importance of listening to one another. Through his guidance, I learned the value of respect and collaboration, lessons that have shaped me into the person I am today.
After I left middle school and moved on to high school, I would often reflect on the foundation he had built for me. His wisdom and kindness were not just limited to academic subjects; he taught us life lessons that I carry with me even now. The values he instilled in me-integrity, curiosity, and empathy-are ones I strive to embody in every aspect of my life.
I hope Mr. Colletta is at peace, knowing that his legacy lives on in all of us who had the privilege of learning from him. His impact on my life and the lives of so many others is immeasurable, and he will forever stay in my heart as a beacon of inspiration and a reminder of the power of a great teacher.
Forever in my heart, rest in peace Mr. Colletta.
