Michael S. Comisac

Michael S. Comisac, 73, of Mush Dahl Road, New Ringgold, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem.

Born Sunday, September 11, 1949 in Coaldale, the son of the late Michael S., and Eulah (Queen) Comisac.

Michael was an entrepreneur. He operated a farm which raised trophy deer, elk, and rams for hunting preserves. Michael was a contracted tree digger, and had operated Comisac Fruit Stand in Coaldale for many years. Michael was also a logger, farmer, beekeeper, and many more. Michael was an avid outdoorsman having hunted big game throughout the United States, an accomplished pool shooter, and tenured member of the West Penn Rod and Gun Club.

Michael adored his dogs, and missed his dog Frisky #1 deeply.

Michael was raised Russian Orthodox by faith.

Surviving are sons, Matthew Comisac, Michael S. Comisac; daughter, Michelle Comisac; sisters, Dorothy Kupetz, Mary Ann Kupetz, Deborah Ehret; companion, Patricia M. Weeks; many grandchildren, and his grandson, Daniel Comisac Jr., who he had a special bond with.

Numerous nieces and nephews also survive Michael. A special thanks to Rae Alexi Kaufman for being a guiding light.

Michael was also predeceased by sons, Daniel T. Comisac Sr., Christopher Comisac; brothers, Daniel C., Lawrence, and Joseph R. Comisac; sister, Irene Davis.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the E. Franklin Griffiths Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. of 655 East Broad Street Tamaqua, PA 18252.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 11 a.m. from the funeral home. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of services. There will be a celebration of life held at the West Penn Rod and Gun Club in Clamtown at 6 p.m. Interment will be in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua.
