Michael Cromer Obituary
June 16, 1966 - May 4, 2024
Durham, North Carolina - Michael Todd Cromer, 57, died at Duke University Hospital on May 4, 2024. He was born on June 16th 1966 to the late Peggy N. Smith and Clade A. Cromer.
A loving husband, father, and friend, Todd was born in Winston-Salem and grew up in Kernersville. Todd made some wonderful 'K-Ville' friends who have been a great support over the years. He graduated from East Forsyth High School in 1985 and continued to have Eagle pride. Todd only applied to one college his senior year of high school The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. UNC was smart enough to extend him admission. At Carolina, Todd continued to develop lots of amazing friendships. He majored in Economics and loved being on UNC's campus. He was a Resident Assistant at UNC where he forged more lasting friendships. His core group of Carolina friends attempts yearly reunions to date. Friends knew where to find Todd on a Sunday - at the Ye Ole' Waffle Shoppe with one or two newspapers in hand. During college, Todd worked to pay for his college tuition. Most importantly at Carolina, Todd met his future wife, Molly Steinfeld.
He was employed by the Chapel Hill Restaurant Group at Squids, 411 West, and helped open restaurants such as 518 West and Mez. Later in life Todd found his passion and worked as a REALTOR® where his extroverted and fun personality helped him be successful at Peak Swirles & Cavillto Properties. The PSCP Brokerage has been a great wealth of real estate expertise and a home of true friendships.
Golf has always been a huge part of Todd's life. He loved playing, competing, coaching, watching, and talking about golf. Todd coached the Jordan High School Golf team in 2017 and 2018. He served as the Booster President for Jodan High School for two years during that time too.
A Celebration of Life will be held to remember Todd and share stories, memories, and laughs. Date and location to be determined later this summer.
Todd is survived by his wife Molly, son Davis, and many other loving family members.
