Michael David Leroy Cuff was born to the late Mary Isabell Cuff and the late George Williams Sr. on March 25,1954, in
Wilmington, DE. Michael peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday May 28, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at Christiana Hospital.
Michael was educated in the Wilmington Public school system, graduating from Howard High School. After graduating from high school Michael went to work for ADT and worked until he retired after 44 years of dedicated service.
Michael affectionately known as "Dad" "Pop-Pop" and "Big Mike" was a man's man, a man of God, an amazing father second to none. A doting grandfather, an amazing cook, a provider and hard worker. To sum it up he was definitely a family man.
On June 7, 1986, Michael united in holy matrimony with Trafinna Wilson. From this union came Durell, Aretta, Tiffany and Whitney. In the early 1980's Michael gave his life to the Lord and joined Mt. Joy United Methodist Church, where he was a very dedicated member serving in many capacities. Michael drove the church van, installed brand new security systems, sang with the Brotherhood Chorus, Mass Choir and a dedicated Trustee. Michael took over the Holiday Outreach Program because he enjoyed cooking for his church and was always there to assist the Pastors in any way he could. Michael was also the Church sexton, coordinator of the South Wilmington Senior Adult program and the Chairperson of the Administrative Council of Mt. Joy United Methodist Church.
The love of cooking was a gift to Michael. As he was the son of the late George Williams Sr., who inherited Hoxter's caterers. Michael could cook anything, he made everything taste better than what you could ever imagine. Michael enjoyed working with his hands, being around his family and especially his grandchildren. Michael also enjoyed spending time with his late mother every weekend.
Michael was "THE" favorite grandchild of his grandparents Harry and Mary E. Cuff, especially his grandfather. Michael was a very dedicated father and grandfather always willing to help with everything from school projects to home improvement projects, any time we needed help we could "ask Pop-Pop" or "Hey Daddy what you doing?" Michael was a man of all seasons he could talk to you about any subject, he was a very good listener. Michael loved to talk about life and family. Michael was an avid Philadelphia Eagles Fan, and a WWE fan. Michael loved his desserts; his favorite was mincemeat pie and pineapple upside-down cake. Michael loved Sunday Dinners with his family, especially taco night.
