Michael P. Culligan, 60, of Sanford, NC and formerly of Milton, Vt, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 26. Michael was born on November 4, 1964 in Cortland , ,NY, to parents Walter and Marlene. After an earlier marriage to his wife Lori, then divorced, Mike married his current wife Colleen, in 2016. They lived in Milton, VT until June of 2025 when they moved to Sanford, NC.

Mike is survived by: his wife Colleen, his mother Marlene, sister (Patty/Kirt), former wife Lori, daughter (Emily), and son (Sean/Maureen). He is also survived by his loving companion, Beverly. Mike also leaves many former co-workers who became like brothers to him. As they would attest, Mike was bigger than life.

Mike loved spending time looking for a "breakfast spot" that he and Colleen could venture to (as long as they had fries). He was a jokester that loved to play pranks but could never admit defeat. When his balance for his beloved Honda Goldwing became too much, he sold it along with his car and got his dream Mustang convertible which could not be driven in the rain or with the top up. His biggest enjoyment each day was to talk with his mom both in the morning and evening.

"There will never be another Mikey Culligan"

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local human society or enjoy a breakfast out and think of Mike. There will be no services per his request but a celebration in the summer of 2026 is being planned in Vermont.

Arrangements are under the direction of Adcock Funeral Home and Crematory.
