In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Jr., Frederick, Steven aka Baha Muhammad, and one sister Carole Montgomery.
Michael is survived by one daughter, Sultana Weir-Curl, of Greenville, SC. He leaves to cherish several nieces, nephews and a host of family members and friends.
Michael was a 1978 graduate of Malcolm X Shabazz H.S. He went on to further his education attending Northeastern University. He was employed by the Newark public school system for several years as a permanent substitute teacher. He currently worked at the East Orange Board of Ed and at St. Barnabas Hospital in the security department. He enjoyed rolling skating and caring for his vehicles.
