Michael D’Acquisto Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mid-Wisconsin Cremation Society - Schofield on Feb. 24, 2026.
Michael C. D'Acquisto, born November 5, 1962, to the late Nancy Bishop and John D'Acquisto, passed away on February 16, 2026.

Above all else, Michael was a devoted husband to Leslie, the love and true reason for his life. He cherished their life together and found his greatest joy simply in being her partner. Their marriage was the center of his world and the foundation of his happiness.

Michael was a great dad to his loving English Shepard, Abigail. They were great pals and spent their days together. She is very sad and keeps looking for her dad.

Michael was also a proud patriot who loved and served his country with honor and dedication. He was a veteran of the United States Air National Guard, 128 Air Refueling Wing, serving from January 24, 1985, until 2008. During his distinguished military career, he served in Desert Storm, Operation Noble Eagle, and Iraqi Freedom. His service afforded him the opportunity to travel the world-an experience he deeply treasured. He carried immense pride in his country and in the role he played in protecting it. He continued his patriotic beliefs as a proud member of the Peplin VFW 8280.

A graduate of Muskego High School, Michael went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. He and Leslie made their home in Milwaukee for 25 years before moving to their dream property-12.97 acres in the Town of Bergen on the Eau Plaine Reservoir. There, they created their own sanctuary. Surrounded by nature and the peace he so valued, Michael found true contentment and happiness on the property.

Michael had a deep love for sports and was an avid collector of sports memorabilia. He was a lifelong fan of the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers, with his love for the Packers beginning in the 1960s. In quieter moments, he enjoyed collecting stamps, working on crossword puzzles, and listening to music.

Michael will be remembered for his steadfast devotion to Leslie, his unwavering patriotism, and the quiet joys that filled his life. His legacy is one of love, service, and loyalty. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

He is survived by his loving wife, Leslie; his brothers-in-law, Stephen (Sarrah) Oliver, George (Mary Clare) Gary, and Robert (Rita) Gary; sister-in-law, Sarah (Will) Burggraf; mother-in-law, Marcia Oliver; and father-in-law, Bob Olafson.

A celebration of Michael's life will take place at a later date.
