Michael Jeffrey D'Angelo

D'ANGELO, Michael Jeffrey. September 12, 2025. Age 84. Beloved husband of Andrea (Granelli) D'Angelo for 54 wonderful years. Proud and adored father of Christina (Stephen) Brillati, Stefanie D'Angelo and Michael (Gina) D'Angelo. Loving grandfather of Jacob, Salvatore, Andrew, Emilie and Caroline. Dear brother of the late Dennis (Sandra) D'Angelo.

Michael dedicated his life to education as a teacher for 43 years at Servite, Lake Shore, and Berkley high schools. He held two Masters Degrees from Wayne State University in Education and Special Education respectively. He was a successful and celebrated high school football coach and led his teams to several league, city and county championships throughout his 25-year career. He was inducted to the Detroit Catholic League Hall of Fame in 1989 and the Michigan High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame in 1991.

A constant learner, Michael enjoyed many hobbies including traveling the world with his family, engaging in conversation, and reading about history and current events. Additionally, he cherished involving himself with family and friends, watching sports, and especially spending time with his dogs.

Michael was a loyal and devoted husband, a dedicated and attentive Father, and an adoring grandfather. He was known for his humbleness, empathy, intelligence, integrity, work ethic, and kind heart.

Throughout his prolonged illness, Michael demonstrated unrivaled mental and physical strength and perseverance as he worked relentlessly in therapy to maintain his health and defy the odds in prolonging his life. He never complained, yet maintained his optimism as he fought vigorously to sustain his quality of life.

Visitation Monday 4-8pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc. 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Instate Tuesday 9:30am until the time of 10am Mass at St. Lawrence Church 44633 Utica Rd, Utica, MI 48317. Private entombment Resurrection Cemetery.
