Michael Dewayne Davis

Mr. Michael Dewayne Davis, age 56, a lifelong native of Coffee County, Georgia, left his earthly home early Friday morning May 10, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born in Douglas, Georgia on January 25, 1968 and was the son of the late John Hiram Davis and the late Anita Cothern Davis. He made his career as a sales professional in the cargo trailer industry. A loving husband and Father, Michael spent much of his time cutting grass and working in his yard. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, and in the off season he enjoyed fishing. Michael attended Wray Holiness Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Michael was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry Davis and Terrell Davis.
Michael is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, April Larie Patton Davis of Ambrose, Georgia; 5 children: Ashleyn Adams of West Green, Georgia, Landon Pharr of Rome, Georgia, Adrianne Davis, Madison Davis, and Ethan Davis, all of Ambrose, Georgia. A number of nieces, nephews and extended family members also survive.
Michael's family will receive friends on Monday afternoon, May 13, 2024 from 2:00 PM- 4:00 PM at Wray Holiness Baptist Church in Wray, Georgia. The funeral service will begin at 4:00 PM with Rev. George Carroll Paulk officiating and Rev. Scott Smith giving the eulogy. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Ambrose, Georgia with Rev. Howard Holt presiding at graveside.
Active pallbearers for Michael's service will include: John Davis, Ronnie Patton, Dobby Cothern, Andy Lott, Drew Busby, and Andy Alexander. Honorary pallbearers will include: Ronnie Merritt, Danny Patton, Blake Peterson, Bobby Busby, and Roger Sutton.
