Rogersville: With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Lynn Davis, lovingly known as "Rooter," who went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his family after a sudden illness at the age of 57.Michael was a man of the Baptist faith whose life was rooted in love for his family and friends. He never met a stranger and cherished the simple joys of life - spending time with those he loved, sharing stories, laughter, and making memories that will be treasured forever. His presence brought comfort, strength, and warmth to everyone who knew him.He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Howard and Lucille Davis, and his nephew, Russell Lynn Case.

Left to cherish his memory is his devoted daughter, Ashley Davis; his three beloved grandchildren, Kailah & Ethan Starks, and Kinsley Davis, who were the light of his life.He is also survived by his brother, Troy Davis (Penny); his four sisters, Denise Fugate (Randall), Annette Absher (Jerry), Misti Linkous (Jimmy), and Kristi Brooks (Tug); and his special friends, Tanner Couch, Chris Dishner, and Matt Millian. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Michael's life was a testament to loyalty, laughter, faith, and unconditional love. Though he left this world too soon, the legacy of kindness and devotion he leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 20, 2026 at the Davis Family Cemetery, 1439 Longs Bend Rd., Rogersville with Rev. William Truman officiating. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery are asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:45 P.M.
