Brenda Robinette Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Christian Sells Funeral Home on Feb. 11, 2026.
Rogersville: Brenda Kay Robinette, age83, of Rogersville, passed away on the night of Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 10:25 P.M. leaving behind a legacy of devotion, kindness, and unconditional love. Brenda spent many years as a hard working cleaning lady, a role she took great pride in. She was known not only for her strong work ethic, but also her incredible cooking. Her meals brought people together, and made everyone feel at home. If you sat at her table you were family. She had a special love for roosters and angels, which could be seen throughout her home. Brenda enjoyed spending her time watching re-runs of Law and Order, never missing an episode. Her mornings were a sacred cup of decaf coffee, with something sweet on the side was her favorite way to start her day. Brenda had a generous heart, and was deeply family oriented. She always had a place for anyone who came through her door. Those who knew Brenda will remember her for her pure soul, gentle spirit and the deep love she gave so freely. She had a way of making people feel cared for seen and valued. Her love, laughter, and warmth will live on through the many lives she touched. Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Bertie Mae; father, Ira Paul; sisters, Jessie Mae, Marion Nell, Margret, Mary Elizabeth, Ruby Lee and Ida Victoria; brothers, Ira Thomas and James Franklin.

She leaves behind her brother, Earl Lamar; life-long partner and friend, Lowell E. Robinette; son, Jerry Lynn (Jeni); two granddaughters, Dakota Danielle and Eden Shyanne (Wesley); 8 great-grandchildren; nieces, Jackie, Pat (Sharon), Glenda, Carol and Jerry; nephew, Russell, and many more great-nieces and nephews.

"Life is beautiful because it's brief, and death is just the beginning of something new"
