Joyce Ann "Lowe" Robinette

Mrs. Joyce Robinette, age 72, of the Horton Ridge section of Swords Creek, Virginia passed away Wednesday (March 4, 2026) at her home. Born March 25, 1953 in West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Mark Kelly Lowe, Jr. and Dorothy Cantrell Lowe Byrd. A lifelong resident of the area, she was a 1973 graduate of Honaker High School and had worked in Home Care as a CNA for many years. She was of the Pentecostal faith and was an avid reader. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching TV, and loved her cats, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, James Howard Robinette; her step-father, Clarence Byrd; two brothers, Joseph Lowe and Tommy Lowe; step-sister, Kathy Byrd; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Junior and Gladys Robinette; sister-in-law Olivia Lowe; and brothers-in-law, Junior Byrd, Kenneth Hess, and Ronnie Robinette.

Survivors include three daughters, Charlotte Church and husband, David, Rhonda Sue Robinette, and Juanita Kay Keen and husband, Scott; one grandson, Matthew Marcus Robinette; six brothers, Marvin Lowe and wife, Susie, Donald Lowe, Earl Lowe, Marcus Lowe, Jr, Gary Lowe, and Franklin Lowe and wife, Debbie; step-brother, Paul Byrd and wife, Beverly; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Lowe, Margaret Robinette, Carolyn Hall and husband, James, Marie Byrd, and Mary Hess; brothers-in-law, Edward Robinette and wife, Sharon, John Robinette, and Roy Robinette; special baby girl, Loretta Sissy Hall; several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Legacy Hospice, Beth, Becky, Judy, and Susie for all the loving care they provided.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Jim Richardson, Rev. J.P. Richardson, and Rev. David Wilmoth officiating. Interment will follow in the Robinette Cemetery near the home.

Pallbearers will be David Church, Matthew Robinette, Patrick Ward, Eddie Lowe, Justin Lowe, and Anthony Lowe.

Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Sisk, Mike Williams, Devon Williams, Sonny Horton, Robert Williams, Johnathan Lowe, and Matthew Lowe.

The family will receive friends after 6 PM Friday at the funeral home, where an evening song service will be conducted at 7 PM.
