Michael DeMello Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 22, 2025.
Michael C. DeMello, Sr. who was born and raised in Falmouth passed away on 9/21/2025 after enduring a long journey of Young Onset Alzheimer's Disease. He always worked in the construction industry but most of his career was as a heavy equipment operator. Quiet in nature until you got to know him.

For those who were in his circle of dear friends and family they knew he was quite the prankster. He loved to kid around and was great at instigating water fights. Michael loved digging for quahogs, having clam boils, fishing, fixing things and helping others. He always had more than enough firewood for the wood stove (could have easily heated every home on the street), if you know, you know. He was a provider and worker at heart. That same ethic was instilled in his children that he was so immensely proud of and loved so deeply.

He is survived by his wife Julie A. DeMello of 47 years. In addition to his wife, he leaves his 3 children Michael C. DeMello, Jr. (Jennifer), Kimberly D. McGuire (Michael) and John R. DeMello (Ashley). He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren with whom he had such great pride for. Also left behind are his own siblings, many nieces and nephews. Michael was the son of the late Charles J. DeMello and the late Mary S. DeMello.

He is now free from all suffering.
