Michael DeSantis Obituary
Mike was pre-deceased by his parents, Thomas and Geraldine DeSantis, and sister, Mary Lou Schmidt.
Mike retired from W.N. Van Alstine after working there as an equipment specialist for 43 years. Mike was well respected and loved by his work family. Mike enjoyed fishing, boating, and spending time at the beach with his family, and wife and best friend of 59 years, Barbara. Anyone who knew Mike would agree he was one of the most patient, kind-hearted people they knew. When not spending time at the beach, Mike enjoyed woodworking after retirement, always keeping busy with one project or another.
In addition to his wife Barbara, Mike is survived by his brother Thomas DeSantis (Suzanne), son Christopher DeSantis, daughter Carrie Hines (John Derby II), grand- daughter Alexandra Hines (Lukas Evans), and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on a later date, at the convenience of Michael's family.
