Michael J. DiMascola, 81, of Westfield, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

Born in Westfield on May 27, 1944, he is the son of the late Pasquale and Maria (Tarantino) DiMascola. Michael attended Westfield Public Schools and graduated from Westfield High School in 1962. Shortly after, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country from 1962 to 1967. Following his military service, Michael worked with the United States Postal Service for many years in Vermont, retiring as a Postal Service Clerk and Union Representative. He was an avid reader, enjoyed showing off his cooking & baking talent, and treasured the time spent with his family.

Michael leaves behind his beloved children, Michael DiMascola of Pennsylvania and Christine (DiMascola) Shores and her husband Scott of New Hampshire; his cherished grandchildren, Abigail and Madalyn Shores and Riley and Bryce DiMascola; his sisters, Florence Matthews and her husband Clarence B. "Moose" of Westfield, Nancy Stefanik of Westfield, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Michael was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Edward Stefanik and nephew Todd Gainley.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 9:30–11:30 AM at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM at the funeral home, with burial and full Military Honors at St. Mary's Cemetery in Westfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory can be made to the Westfield Athenaeum, 6 Elm Street, Westfield, MA 01085.
