Michael DiVito Obituary

Michael DiVito, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 10, 1950, in Long Island, N.Y., Michael later lived in Florida before settling in Dahlonega, where he spent his later years.
Michael is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara DiVito; his sons, Christian DiVito and Michael DiVito; his daughter-in-law, Megan DiVito; and his cherished grandchildren: Dallas, Madison, Mason, Blake DiVito; and siblings: Ron DiVito, Linda Jellen, Coni Zollo, Gary DiVito, and Cheryl Pellicano.
Affectionately known as "Popi," Michael found immense joy in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was passionate about antique bicycles-a hobby he loved sharing with his grandkids. He also enjoyed gardening and had a deep appreciation for his sports car, which he proudly purchased after overcoming cancer for the first time.
Above all, Michael was a man devoted to his family, his friends, and the life they built together. His warmth, love, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Dahlonega Funeral Home.
