Michael (Mike) J. Dollevoet (77), peacefully passed away Friday May 2nd, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on November 21st, 1947 in Chicago Illinois, the son of Bart and Johanna (VanHeesyk) Dollevoet. Mike graduated from Kimberly High School in 1965.
Soon after he married his high-school sweetheart, Ruthy A. Zillges. Mike and Ruth got married August 24th, 1968 and together had three sons: Chad, Todd, and Darrin Dollevoet.
He was a Kimberly baseball coach for nearly 15 years and was able to proudly stand by his son's side when they won state for their Sr. Legion team in 1990. Mike spent most of his working years at the Village of Kimberly and then retiring as a custodian for Sheppard of the Valley Church.
He will always be remembered as a hard-working and dedicated husband, father, grandpa, and great grandpa. If something was broken, he always knew how to fix it, might not have always been the right way, but there was nothing he couldn't do. He was an avid outdoorsman and always enjoyed hunting and fishing with his boys and grand kids. He loved spending time at their cottage as well with family and friends, making many memories together.
He is survived by his wife Ruth (Zillges) Dollevoet; Children Darin Dollevoet, and Todd (Jenny) Dollevoet. Grand Kids; Brittany (Dollevoet) Cropsey, Tyler Dollevoet, Kelsie Dollevoet, Michael Dollevoet, Hunter Dollevoet and Christian Dollevoet. Great Grand Kids; Nora Cropsey and Colton Cropsey.
