Michael Dorsi, 83 of Milford and Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away June 12, 2025 in Port St. Lucie. He was born March 2, 1942 in New Haven to Joseph and Adeline (D'Angelo) Dorsi. Michael is survived by his loving and devoted daughter, Lorinda Watrous (Carl) of Preston CT and two grandchildren he adored: Patrick Potter (Kim) and Sean Potter. Michael is also survived by his two sisters-in-law, Karen MacVeigh of Guilford and Nancy Smith of Alabama, two nieces and his second wife, Eleanora (Ritacco) Dorsi of Florida.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, loving wife of 45 years, Linda (MacVeigh) Dorsi (2010), a son, Michael Dorsi Jr. (2023) and siblings: Emilio "Sonny" Dorsi, Raphael "Ralph" Dorsi and twin sister Concetta "Connie" Dorsi.
Michael was a kind and caring man, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He had a warm heart, a generous spirit, and a playful sense of humor that made him a joy to be around. He loved to tease people in a sweet and gentle way, bringing smiles and laughter wherever he went.
He had a lifelong love of the railroad and proudly retired after 39 years of dedicated service. He made many friends who he cared about deeply. Before that, he served his country as a U.S. Marine for three years in the early 1960s.
He cherished time spent golfing with his dear cousins and friends, always enjoying both the game and the camaraderie. A passionate home cook, he once dreamed of creating and branding his own signature sauce and even talked about owning a hot dog truck.
He loved to travel, especially with his beloved wife Linda, many times with sister-in-law Nancy, making lasting memories on every trip.
Above all, he treasured time with his children and grandchildren, who brought immense joy and pride to his life.
Family will receive friends on Saturday June 21, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home (Clancy Funeral Home), 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven with burial to follow with full US Marine Corps Honors at St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven.
