Michael J. Duddy Sr., 65, of Lodi, formerly of Ridgefield, passed away on January 14, 2024. Born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, PA he lived in Elizabeth, NJ and North Bergen, NJ before settling in Lodi. Before retiring, Michael was a truck driver for over 20 years and worked for Red Star Trucking in Elizabeth where he was a member of the Teamsters Local #560. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps and received a Purple Heart. Michael was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV); the Teaneck, Ridgefield, and Lodi American Legions; the National Rifle Association (NRA); the Association of NJ Rifle and Pistol Club, Inc.; Knights of Columbus #0668 in Cliffside Park; and parishioner of St. Matthew R.C. Church in Ridgefield and Epiphany R.C. Church in Cliffside Park. Preceded in death by his parents James and Josephine Duddy, one sister Patricia Sosnak, and one brother James Duddy. Beloved husband of Maria "Susy" (nee Laurido) Duddy. Devoted father of Holly Anne Lucent of Newark Valley, NY; Michael J. Duddy, Jr. and his fiancée Jamie Kentos of Wantage; and Liza Anne Duddy of Glen Lyon, PA. Loving grandfather of Adam, Jr., Lily, Wren, Matthias and Autumn. Dear brother of Nancy Palmer and uncle of many nieces and nephews in the U.S. and in Ecuador. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday January 27, 2024 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm (including a chapel service at 3:00 pm) at Di Chiara Funeral Home, 300 Main St., Lodi, New Jersey.
