I was an avid reader/fan of Mike's in the '80s and we eventually met up after several months of correspondence. We used to meet for lunch every few months at a Mexican restaurant in either Detroit or Ann Arbor; he was a massive fan of a good margarita. He was a precious soul and a special friend. God rest his soul. He was one-of-a-kind.

My mom Geraldine strozier was a reporter for Detroit free press and my mom and Mr Duffy became really good friends and when we moved to Alexandria Virginia he and Jane came to visit our house
