Michael Dwyer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by All County Funeral Home-Del Lago Chapel - Lake Worth on May 8, 2025.
Michael Dwyer of Royal Palm Beach, Florida passed away on the 29th of April, 2025 at the age of 70. He was born in Brooklyn, New York on the 10th of October, 1954. With his passing, he joins many loved ones who have passed before him, and leaves behind many who have yet to pass.
As a child, Mike was a prankster and a joker. He played instruments, acted in plays, did gymnastics, and played baseball. In 1972, Mike graduated from New Dorp High School. Mike was good at working with his hands, and went right to work out of high school. He worked in the construction industry and was also skilled in masonry, electrical, plumbing, and woodworking. In his spare time, he liked to fish, work with stained glass, and renovate his family home.
In 1986 Mike found sobriety, which became integral to his life. He later met Sheri through sobriety, who he then married in 1990. Mike became a father in 1996 when his daughter Jessi was born. His goal was to be the best father he could be, spending time with his daughter at zoos, parks, and at home. He spent the daylight hours having fun with and taking care of Jessi, while at night he worked as a maintenance engineer. He was the best father a daughter could ask for.
In 2005 he and his family moved from Staten Island to Florida, where he continued to be a maintenance engineer, and soon became a licensed home inspector. He loved the nature and animals of Florida. He went fishing and boating often, and soon picked up the sport of golf. He and his family would vacation to Disney World, as well as to other destinations around the state and country. As time moved on, he became Lead Maintenance Engineer, found pickleball, and gathered many friends. He was always on the go, always had a project to do, always had someone to see.
Mike was very involved in his community, and always willing to lend a hand to any who needed his help. He was known for choosing to give people "the benefit of the doubt" and was always very generous and thoughtful. His whole life he had a big heart, big laugh, and big personality. He loved to make jokes, and he gave great advice. Mike achieved 38 years of sobriety, and along the way he helped many others stay sober. Mike had so much love for so many people, and in turn, he is loved by many.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents Albert Senese and Marilyn (Endsor) Senese, ex-wife Sheryl "Sheri" Kaplow Dwyer, and mother-in-law Jean Kaplow. He is survived by his daughter Jessi Dwyer, son-in-law Ari Raya, brother James "Jimmy" Dwyer, and his Aunt Barbara Pebley.

My condolences to the family. Mike and I worked together at Tropical for his nearly 19 years there. We sat across from each other for some years, he will be missed dearly. We had that NY vibe going :)
RIP MIKE
