Mark Charles Dwyer

Our beloved Mark left the bonds of this world into the arms of Jesus Christ on February 6, 2026.
Mark was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Margaret Dwyer, and his sister, Karen Dwyer. He is survived by his California family and by his New York sisters, Loretta Macgargle and Margaret Dwyer.
Mark was born in Melbourne, Florida, in the same hospital as Jim Morrison - a tidbit he enjoyed. He was a gentle soul with a spirit of wanderlust. As a teenager, he hitchhiked from FL to NYC; years later he drove to California, where he enjoyed life there for over 40 years.
Mark's knowledge of 1960s bands - their music and members was vast. He embodied the best of the 60s: Peace, Love, Music. He was rarely without a guitar - camping in Big Sur with his family or attending Grateful Dead concerts aplenty.
In recent years, he fought a valiant battle with multiple medical issues without complaint - taking each hurdle in his humble stride. Mark will be sorely missed and forever loved
A private service is planned with burial at Calvary Cemetery in Johnson City.
