Helen M Killian

It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Helen M (Johnson) Killian of Conklin on January 30, 2026 surrounded by family. Helen was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and Wildwood, NJ. She is survived by her loving husband Robert Killian of 62 years and children Robert, Patricia and Brian, Daughters-in-law Francine and Meri, Grandchildren Matthew, Michael, Daniel, Matildia. Helen also leaves behind step-grandchildren RoseMeri and Migule and brother-in-law Richard Killian and spouse Kathleen. Helen is predeceased by her mother Grace Johnson, sisters Dolly Bethel and Grace Baraldi and sister-in-law Madeline Killian.

As the matriarch of the family, Helen possessed a strong but quiet demeanor of love and support of her family. She enjoyed winters in Florida and vacationing in Cancun and Wildwood, NJ. She had a passion for reading, crossword puzzles and a knack for beating the odds at Tioga Downs. Her insistence on formal sit-down dinners and attentions to details on setting the perfect table for holiday meals will be missed by all who enjoyed a meal with her.

A memorial mass will be held Friday February 20, 2026 at 11:00 am at Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church 975 US Route 11 Kirkwood, NY 13795. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mercy House of the Southern Tier Endicott, NY.
