Sandra Joyce Bichler, 85 of Binghamton, New York, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026 surrounded by family. She was predeceased by her Husband of 61 years, Ronald Bichler, parents Vasil and Mary (Havrilka) Yacos, and her 6 sisters and 3 brothers.. She survived by her children Linda (Steven) Niggemann of Vestal, NY, Ron (Laura) Bichler of Clark's Summit, PA, Karen (Gary) Walker of Endicott, NY and Raeleen Bichler of Binghamton, NY. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Christian, Ian, Emily Jasmine, and Austin were all loved by their "Grammy". Sandie welcomed her first and only great-grandchild, Vincent in 2024. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Sandie was born on January 30, 1941 in Endicott, NY. In the late 1950 she was working in the print room of General Electric when she met her beloved Ron where he asked one of his coworkers "what is that thing wearing her father's shirt?".
Sandie passed down to her children how to make some good homemade pierogi and halupki.
Sandie was a member and secretary at Sarah Jane Johnson Memorial United Methodist Church and later in life transferred her membership to Central United Methodist Church where she loved to hear her youngest daughter Raeleen play the cello. The family gives heartfelt thanks to NW4 Wilson staff and the Guthrie Hospice team for the care they showed our mom/grammy. Funeral service will be held at Central United Methodist Church in Endicott, NY on Saturday February 7, 2026. The family will receive friends at 9:00am with the funeral beginning at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sandie's name can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
