Anna Cupito Killian passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026 in Red Bank, New Jersey after a lengthy illness.

Anna was born in Newark, New Jersey on February 22, 1935. A proud graduate of East Side High School, she earned her Bachelor's Degree from William Paterson College and her Master's Degree from Montclair State University. She married Eugene Killian, Sr. on June 23, 1956.

Anna was involved in Democratic politics and was once named "Democrat of the Year" by her local Democratic Club. She was a long-time high school teacher who taught business and typing skills at Vailsburg High School, Arthur L. Johnson High School, and Toms River East High School. Later she earned her real estate license and worked as a real estate broker in Ocean County. She was an avid baseball fan, and was the President of a New York Yankees fan club in the 1950s until her husband later convinced her of the error of her ways and she became a New York Mets fan.

Anna loved to laugh and had a vivacious personality. She loved spending time with her family. Once of her sayings was: "Never hold a grudge. It takes too much energy." She was a devout Catholic and formerly a parishioner of St. Justin's in Toms River.

She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Killian, Sr., who passed away in 2004, and her parents, Pasquale and Teresa Cupito.

She is survived by her son, Eugene Killian, Jr., who is a successful attorney; her granddaughter, Sarah Anne Killian, who is a songwriter in Nashville, Tennessee; her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Joann ("Joni") Charles, a former Wall Street executive; her sister, Victoria Damiano; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Anna will be interred next to her husband at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Toms River. Services will be private. The family requests donations in her name to the Alzheimer's Association, https://www.alz.org/.
