Michael Edington Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Price Funeral Home, Inc. - Maryville on Jan. 14, 2026.
Michael Lynn Edington, 46, of Hopkins, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 12, 2026, at his home.

Michael was born on October 26, 1979, in Gentry County, Albany, Missouri to Kevin E. Davis and Melaney Ann Edington. He was a graduate of Nodaway Holt High School and worked for Walmart at the Tire and Lube Express.

He married Katrina D. Gladman on October 31, 2007. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include their three daughters, Kaeah Mae Edington, Jaycie Layne Edington and Jacobie Rayne Edington; his mother, Melaney A. Edington, Pleasanton, Kansas; sister, Kristina Marie (John) Nichols, Oak Grove, Missouri; brother, Kevin Lee Davis, Lamar, Iowa; two uncles, Butch Edington and Mike Edington. He was preceded in death by his father, Kevin E. Davis on December 15, 2012.

He loved his daughters with all his heart and would do anything for them. He had a passion for cars and loved to draw. He will be remembered by many. He went by Mikey a lot to people in the family and as Mikey in the car community. He was one of the co-founders of Lowered Kreations Car Club that he loved and his memory will live on forever in our hearts.

Michael has been cremated under the care of Price Funeral Home. Graveside Services 1pm Saturday, April 18th at the Hopkins Cemetery. The family will gather friends following the service at the Hopkins Community Center. In memory of Michael, his family suggests memorial contributions be given in care of Price Funeral Home to assist with expenses.

We celebrate the life of a man who lived with speed, passion and a heart as big as the engines he loved. Known for his stunning cars and undeniable charisma, some of my earliest and most cherished memories are of sitting shotgun while we went street racing. To me, he wasn't just my brother, he was my best friend. That sentiment was shared by everyone, even back in my elementary school days, I'd beg him to take me to school because his car was so cool and all my friends thought it was too. He was the person I looked up to and admire. He had a way of making everyone feel like part of his inner circle. He is survived by a family that will forever miss the sound of his engine and the warmth of his smile. Though he has crossed his final finish line, his legacy remains in the fast lane of our hearts.
