Michael Andrew "Mike" Edwards

Michael Andrew Edwards November 24, 1956 – October 8, 2021 Michael Andrew Edwards, 64 of Wilson passed away Friday, October 8, 2021. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Peace Church, 2838 Tilghman Road, Wilson. Rev. Rusty Russell will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon immediately following the service and other times at the home. Michael was a long-time employee and became co-owner of The Candy Man in 2010. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to all who knew him. He was a giving man with a heart of gold and was dearly loved and will be remembered with memories that will make you smile. Michael is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Farmer Edwards of the home; daughters, Tiffany E. Purdy and husband, Jarrett of Wilson, Meredith E. Martin and husband, Barrett of Raleigh, and Madison E. Powell and husband, Kirk of Knightdale; son, Michael Andrew Edwards, Jr. of Wilson; grandchildren, Jada, Jude and Tatum Purdy, and Lucy, Laney and Logan Martin, and his sister, Jaye Lamm Reason of Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Javies and Audrey Edwards, and his sister, Trisha Edwards Poulos.
