Michael P. Edwards, 70, of Mooresville, passed away September 21st, 2024. He was born August 14th, 1954, in Indianapolis to parents Guy Stanley and Georgia (Upchurch) Edwards.
Michael grew up in Indiana and graduated from Howe high school.
A very hard worker, Michael worked at Chrysler for several years, then began his career at Indianapolis Water Company (now Citizens). After over 30 years at Citizens, he retired and became a farmer.
On April 29th, 1978, Michael married the love of his life, Deborah “Debbie”. They shared 46 wonderful years together.

He even built his own barn complete with electrical wiring and plumbing. Michael had a lifelong interest in NASCAR. In his younger years, he raced stock cars. Michael was a devoted father to his two daughters. He coached their sports teams, took them on Disney vacations, and taught them many essential life skills. He was so proud to be a Papa to his four grandchildren and loved spending as much time with them as possible. He and his wife, Debbie, loved to travel and enjoyed many cruises. Michael will be remembered as a charming, gregarious man who was always ready to help anyone in need.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
