Michael Eisenhart Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by John J. Bryers Funeral Home - Willow Grove on Oct. 29, 2024.
Michael Francis Eisenhart ("Mike") was born on January 7, 1946, son of Mary McNulty and David Eisenhart (Deceased) in Germantown, Pennsylvania. Mike was the second of ten children in a very Irish Catholic family. He loved his siblings dearly – David Eisenhart, (deceased) (Maureen), Sharon Grosso, William Eisenhart, Lynn Eisenhart, Thomas Eisenhart, Daniel Eisenhart (Colleen), MaryBeth Nelligan (John), Christine McTaggart (Bryan), and John Eisenhart.
Michael served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1964 to 1970. He was stationed aboard a U.S. Navy Carrier, the U.S.S. Forrestal, where Mike visited many ports in Europe. He returned home to the states and served as a driver for Colonel John T. Hayward. Michael dabbled in a variety of jobs including roofing and painting but ultimately, he retired as a truck driver, delivering propane for Suburban Propane.
Michael married his beautiful bride, Barbara Jean Jasins (deceased) on October 22, 1976. Michael gained a wonderful family with Barb's parents Margaret Jasins and Joseph Jasins (deceased) and two amazing sisters, Joyce Huntowski (Norman) and Nanci O'Leary (Joe). Barb and Michael filled their life spending time with their families and traveling the world. Fittingly, Michael returned home to his wife on what would have been their 48th wedding anniversary.
Michael is survived by two beautiful daughters - Dina Corrado and Elisa Santos (Sid), five terrific grandchildren - Annamaria Leib (Nicholas), Luigi Nicholas Corrado (Samantha), Sorin Santos, Natalie Corrado and Miguel Santos, and one incredible great-grandchild - William Michael Leib.
Michael treasured his time spent with his friends and family, cheering his nieces and nephews on at sporting games, teaching everyone how to float in the pool at the Richboro Swim Club and swinging his clubs on the golf course. His love of Notre Dame, respect for the U.S. Marine Corps and passion for discussing politics will always be remembered. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the National Centre for Padre Pio in Barto, PA.
Friends and family are being received at St. Catherine of Sienna in Horsham, PA on Friday, December 6, 2024. The viewing will begin at 10 am and the service will begin at 11 am. A burial will follow immediately after at Whitemarsh Cemetery.
The family will be honoring Michael's love for Notre Dame and the U.S. Marine Corps by wearing representing colors. Visitors are welcome to participate in this honor as well.
