Michael Christopher Ellis, 50, of Florence, born on August 14, 1973, passed away July 14, 2024, in Independence. He was known for his passion for collecting cars and guns, hobbies that brought him immense joy throughout his life. He is survived by his parents, Joy Ellis Cortes (John), of Independence, his father, James Ellis, of Florida; his wife, Maria Ellis; his daughter who was his world for three years, Trinity Marie Ellis; his sisters, Stacey Bay (David); Angie Mamaril; his brother, Jason Ellis (Shannon); his nephews, Jarrod, Justen and Zakary Mamaril, Dylan Wandling, Austin Bay; and his niece, Savannah Ellis; two great nephews and one great niece.
He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Michael leaves behind a wide circle of relatives who cherished him deeply. While he may have left this world, the memories created with him will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A visitation service to honor and remember Michael's life will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home - Chapel A in Taylor Mill on July 19, 2024. The visitation will take place between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM to allow friends and family to pay their respects, and a Memorial Service at 4 PM.
As we mourn the loss of Michael Christopher Ellis, let us also celebrate the wonderful moments we shared with him and the legacy of kindness he leaves behind.
