Michael Anderson Elsaesser, age 74 of Biggerstaff Road, Spruce Pine passed away Thursday January 16, 2025, at the Blue Ridge Regional Hospital in Spruce Pine. Born in McDowell County, he was a son of the late Alex and Sara Boone Elsaesser. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Charles Elsaesser and a great grandson Maddox Elsaesser.
Michael worked as a woodworker building cabinets, he loved fishing, kayaking, fixing things and spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Charles Elsaesser (Serena) of Spruce Pine, and Chris Elsaesser (Tiffany) of Spruce Pine, grandchildren, Seth Elsaesser (Andrea) of Spruce Pine, Zach Elsaesser (Keylee) of Burnsville, Emily Elsaesser of Spruce Pine, Peyton Elsaesser (Chris Pallick) of Burnsville, Ellijah Stamey of Spruce Pine, Erin Elsaesser of Spruce Pine, Alex Serrano of Spruce Pine and Adam Elsaesser of Burnsville, two great granddaughters, Zaylee Elsaesser and Emerie Pallick, two sisters Lisa Funk (Dave) of Falcon, CO and Leslie Slate (Dan) of Spruce Pine and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In keeping with Michael's wishes no services are planned.
