Michael A. Ernst

Michael A. Ernst, 64, of Williams Twp. passed away at home with his devoted family by his side. Born in Bethlehem on January 10, 1960 he was a son of James Ernst of Williams Twp. and the late Claire (Unangst) Ernst. Michael graduated from Wilson High School, class of 1978. He worked for Wilson School District for 30 years as the transportation supervisor and mechanic until he retired in 2014.
Michael was active at Calvary Baptist Church for many years and most recently attended Phillipsburg Missionary Alliance Church. Michael could always be found on a Sunday morning in church, worshipping God with his church family. He was an excellent mechanic and enjoyed working on small engines. Friends and family could always rely on him for a helping hand. He loved a good cup of coffee and breakfast with his close friends. His greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Ian.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Lori (Amato) Ernst; son, Justin Ernst of Williams Twp.; daughter, Elena (Ernst) Neith of Williams Twp; grandson, Ian; sisters, Donna D'Imperio and her husband, Michael of Williams Twp.; Rinnie Knechel-Shoup and her husband, R.F. of Quaktertown; a brother, Mark Ernst and his wife, Melody of Nazareth; and many friends.
Calling hours will be held from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp.) followed by a memorial service. Interment will be private at the request of the family.
