Michael Falat

Dr. Michael Falat, age 77, passed away on March 12, 2026. Born on December 10, 1948, in Germany, Michael lived a life filled with adventure, faith, and love.

Michael was always there for his kids. From cheering Alex on at countless soccer and baseball games, to coaching Kristin's soccer teams, to helping with Nicky's baseball teams, it was clear those moments meant so much to him. Later in life, he found even greater joy in becoming a grandfather. His grandchildren affectionately called him "Dedo," the Ukrainian word for grandfather, and that role brought him immense pride and happiness.

Michael climbed the ranks within the Department of Defense and earned his Ph.D. He also had a lifelong commitment to health and discipline, and was a dedicated gym enthusiast who rarely missed a workout. Michael approached life with dedication and determination, characteristics he instilled in his children. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, steadfast faith, and deep love for his family.

He is survived by his loving children, Alexander (Kelly), Nicholas, and Kristin; and his beloved grandchildren, Savannah, Ally, Brian, Patrick, Ryker, Charlotte, and Amelia, all of whom carry forward his spirit and legacy.
