Michael Timothy Farmer

Michael Timothy Farmer, age 75, of Stevens Point, passed away peacefully Saturday September 13, 2025, at Stevens Point Aspirus Hospital.

Michael was born November 28, 1949, in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of William Curtis and Rosella (Scheuerell) Farmer. After attending formative schooling in Sun Prairie, he pursued an education degree at UWSP where he met the love of his life, Robyn, while singing with his barbershop quartet. They married on February 14, 1978, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The couple settled in Stevens Point where they raised their three daughters. As a father, he was loving, supportive, and always had a song to share.

Michael worked at Sentry Insurance for several years, then became a manager at Hardees in Waupaca. Later he worked as an auto parts sales associate at Courtesy Motors, Scaffidi Motors, and retired from Rapids Ford.

In his free time, he refereed high school football games, high school and college baseball games and women's college softball games. He had the once in a lifetime opportunity to umpire a Major League baseball game at Milwaukee County Stadium in 1979.

In retirement, Michael spent time with his daughters and their spouses, and youngest granddaughter. His love of singing, puns, and jokes brought joy to all who knew him (and maybe a heavy eye roll). He loved to wish all the Top O' the Morning, and keep the rest of the day for himself, and also wish you a Grand Day (in his best Irish accent)!

He is survived by his three daughters: Greta (Mark) Mlodik; Abbey (Alex) Blaskowsky; and Ashley (Jacob) Dickerson. His grandchildren: Spencer Mlodik; Alyssa (Tim) Larsen; the sunshine of his life, Penelope Dickerson and his great-grandson, Everett Larsen. He is further survived by his brothers: James (Jeanie) Farmer, Joseph (Marie) Farmer, sister Loretta Snee, sisters-in-law Dee Farmer, Meredith Lauter, and many nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death, by the love of his life, Robyn, his parents, brother Tom, sister Mary, niece Kristi, and grandparents.

A Celebration of Life for Michael will be held at 10:00 AM, with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Highland Church in Plover Wisconsin. Pastor Nathan Schroeder will preside over the service.

Michael's daughters request all Celebration of Life attendees to wear bright and cheerful colors, the silliest ties, and goofball socks to honor their father. They will be gathering stories to create a book of memories.

His family would like to thank the nurses in the ICU/IMC and Palliative Care who helped care for, and bring peace to, Michael and his family.
