Age 83, late of Lockport, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Born and raised in Chicago, lived in Bridgeview, raised his family in Orland Park, and a resident of Lockport for the past eight years. A proud United States Korean War Army Veteran. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed coaching his son's football team in his younger years. His grandchildren were his greatest joy; he cherished all the years he spent with them.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary (Nee Brocken) Finazzo (2022); his daughter, Joanne Cygan (2017); his parents, Ross and Elizabeth (Nee Canning) Finazzo; three brothers, James, Ross, and Dean in infancy; and many loved family members of the Brocken family.
Survived by his devoted children, Caroline (Jason) Williamson of Lockport, and Michael Finazzo (fiancé Lisa) of Boonville, IN; six adored grandchildren, Christina Williamson, Alexander Williamson, Kate Cygan, Sarah Cygan, Carlin Finazzo, and Ross Finazzo; a brother, Randy Finazzo; and many dear family members and friends.
Cremation Rites were respectfully addressed.
Private services will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood at a later date.
