Michael Joseph Fitzmaurice Jr.

Of Sagamore Beach, MA, May 24 at 68 years old after a brief, but courageous battle with Lung Cancer. A devoted family man, Michael was known for his gentle nature and caring heart. Loving son of the late Michael and Florence (Caroll) Fitzmaurice. Beloved husband of 39 years to Margaret (Bucci). Devoted father to Michael of Boston, and Renee (Colangelo) Bonnell and her husband Peter of Sagamore Beach. Dear brother of Carol Iannessa of Chesnut Hill, Mary Guisti of Billerica, Elizabeth Barry of Boston, Florence Blake of NY, and the late Eileen DeSimone of Weymouth. Loving brother in law to Alex Bucci and his wife Julia of Wellesley, John Bucci of Florida, Elaine Hachey of Florida, and the late Robert and Thomas Bucci. Also lovingly survived by his three grandchildren, Rayliana, Alyssandra, and Caleb Bonnell. Family & friends are invited to attend the funeral from Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court Street, Plymouth, on Saturday, May 30th at 9:00am, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Bonaventure Church, 803 State Road, Plymouth at 10 a.m. Visiting hours are Friday 5-8 p.m. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
