Michael Fox Obituary
Mike Fox of Elk River, MN passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Mike was born in Grand Forks, ND to Neal and Joyce Fox of Thief River Falls, MN. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1965 before attending UND, then moving to Bloomington, MN in 1967. Mike's love of engineering and his "gift of gab" led him to a successful career as a Manufacturer's Representative selling state-of-the-art industrial equipment systems to plants around Minnesota and the Dakotas. Mike met the love of his life, Mary, in the spring of 1978 and they were married in Duluth, MN on August 28, 1982.
Mike had a lifelong passion for trains and model railroads. He enjoyed restoring Delta tools and woodworking. He loved spending time with his family, collecting antiques, classical music, international travel, volunteering at the Elk River Community Christmas Dinner for years and an ice cold Coke Zero.
Mike is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Andy and Joie; sister, Margaret; uncle, Don; and many loved cousins and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Mike in the near future, date TBD.
