Michael Ray Francies, Sr., 72, of Hopkinsville, KY died at 1:37 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2024 at University of Louisville Health – Jewish Hospital.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2024 at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Brother Ronnie Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Christian County, KY he was born September 29, 1951 the son of the late G.G. Standard Francies and Wilma Grace Francies. He was a retired truck driver and the former owner of The Crofton Diner. He was a member of Kelly Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandsons: Joey Hayes, Johnny Ray Clyde "Hubba" Martin, Wyatt Gowan, Scott Gowan, and Kendell Gowan; and four great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife: Arletta June Francies; his children: Dottie Hayes of Hopkinsville, KY, Teresa (Gary) Hibbard of Martin, TN, Leslie Adams of Cadiz, KY, Terry Wayne (Dana) Martin of Hopkinsville, KY, John Ray (Shannon) Martin of Hopkinsville, KY, Michael (Tonya) Francies, Jr. of Crofton, KY, Malinda Faye (Daniel) Bershing of Indian Mound, TN and Matthew McKinley (Lacey) Francies of Hopkinsville, KY, his sisters: Carolyn Fish and Teresa Carr both of Clarksville, TN; 30 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
