Michael Freeman, born August 6th, 1957, passed away peacefully on Tuesday at the age of 67. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Michael will be remembered for his gentle spirit, steady presence, and deep love for his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Delinda Freeman; his children, Andrea Freeman and Alex Freeman (Rachel); and his cherished grandchildren, Willow Freeman and Harley Freeman. He also leaves behind his sisters Candance (Johnny), Connie, Pamela, Holly (Shawn), Jody, Kala (George) and his dad Tom. Michael is preceded in death by his older brother Nicholas Freeman, brother Billy Freeman, mother Carolyn Sayer, mother-in-law Dorothy Dudley, and step-mother Georgia Robison. Michael also leaves behind many close relatives, friends, and colleagues from his years working at Boeing and Spirit AeroSystems, where he built a respected and lasting career.
Outside of work, Michael was most at home in the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and golfer, finding peace in quiet waters and joy on the green. He lived for simple moments, meaningful conversations, and time spent with the people he loved.
Michael’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and quiet strength. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A visitation service will be held at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton, KS on May 23rd, 2025 from 5 PM to 9 PM. Additionally, a celebration of life ceremony will be held at the Sedgwick Senior Center at 107 W 5th St., in Sedgwick, KS on May 24th, 2025 from 2 PM to 4PM.
