Goldstein, Michael S, age 58, of Excelsior, died unexpectedly on May 21, 2025. Mike was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend who leaves behind a legacy of generosity and service to others.
Raised in Plymouth, MN, Mike dedicated the majority of his professional life to the city where he served as a police officer for over three decades, rose through the ranks, and became the city's Public Safety Director. Mike went on to work for the Pohlad Companies where he became the VP of Security and Information Technology. Mike was also active in establishing a community of support for the physical and mental wellbeing of first responders through innovative wellness and technology solutions. Outside of his accomplished career, Mike found joy in traveling, golfing, hunting, drumming, and fine dining. Although he is gone much too soon, his family takes comfort in the knowledge that his conversion to Catholicism provided him the peace he was searching for in his final years on Earth.
Mike is lovingly remembered by his wife Anne Goldstein, his son Jack and his wife Hannah Goldstein, his daughter Lauren Goldstein, his parents David and Nancy Goldstein, his siblings Jill and Bart Goldstein, his in-laws Robert Sr. and Margaret Sevenich, Robert Jr. and Claremarie Sevenich, Jay and Mary Sue Hartjes, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am on Friday, June 6, 2025, at St. Hubert Catholic Church, 8201 Main Street, Chanhassen, MN 55317 (952) 934-9106. A private burial will follow.
