Michael Goles,77, passed away on November 22, 2023. Born in Chicago on September 9, 1946, to Michael and Mary Goles, he chose Crystal Lake as his home with his wife, Penny Adams, whom he married on August 29, 1987, following a 10-year courtship.
A true outdoorsman at heart, Michael's passions included hunting, fishing, and the thrill of gambling. Known for his remarkable organizational skills, he was the linchpin in planning numerous outdoor adventures, creating lasting memories for all involved. His love for good food and great company made every gathering special.
Michael will be missed by his wife, Penny; sons, Michael (Colleen) and Daniel (Donna); grandchildren, Anthony, Aaron, and Jordan; sister, Carol Altieri; nieces Shari, Jan (Guy), Laurette (Kenny), and Lynnette (Michael); and great nephew Nicholas. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Marilyn Russo, and brothers-in-law Joe Altieri and Jerry Russo.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, November 28, from 4 PM to 8 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 29, at 10:30 AM at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 410 First St., Cary.
