Michael Gullick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by New Albany Funerals & Cremations on Feb. 5, 2025.
On Tuesday morning, February 4, 2025, Michael Lee Gullick, 62, resident of Myrtle, departed this life in the comfort of his home surrounded by family.
A Memorial Service honoring the life of Mr. Gullick will be at 2 PM Thursday, February 6 at New Hope Baptist Church with Bro. Kendall White officiating. Visitation will be from 1 PM to 2 PM on Thursday, February 6 at New Hope Baptist Church.
Mr. Gullick was born December 28, 1962, in Aurora, IL, the third oldest child of the late Quay Marlon and Nancy Lee Green Gullick. He attended West Union High School and was employed as a frame assembler for Albany Industries for many years. On February 14, 1998, he married his beloved wife Fredia Hancock Gullick who survives.
A member of New Hope Baptist Church, Mr. Gullick loved his church family and taught different Sunday School classes over the years. His love for his family was unending and he enjoyed sharing every opportunity he could to be with them, especially his three much adored grandchildren. Known as quite the "Character", Mr. Gullick's hobbies included collecting NASCAR hot wheel cars, yardwork, tending to flowers and just "piddlin". His life will be remembered by the joy and laughter that he brought to others and the courage and toughness he displayed until his passing. A loving husband, father, brother and devoted grandfather, he will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife of 26 years, Fredia Hancock Gullick, he leaves a son, Chase Hancock (Amber) of Myrtle, one sister, Michelle Browning (Alton) of West Union, five brothers, Don Gullick (Pam) of West Union, Ron Gullick (Kathy) of Petal, MS, Billy Gullick (Lee) of Keownville, Joey Gullick of West Union and Jason Gullick (Angela) of New Albany, three grandchildren, Landon, Luke and Addison Hancock, his mother in law, Lavelle Hancock, two sisters in law, Karen Hargett and Judy Hancock and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Freddie Hancock and three brothers in law, David Hancock, James Hancock and Gene Hargett.
