Michael Rodney Hale passed away on May 25, 2025 at the age of 54. He was born on October 20, 1970 to Michael Paul and Patsy E. (Sweet) Winkler in Dallas, Texas. He married Roxanne Moore on February 14, 1992 in Red Oak, Texas. They raised three children together.
He was an auto technician who enjoyed a long career of repairing cars. After graduation from Lincoln Tech Institute, he immediately went to work in the auto repair industry. He had a great mechanical ability and through the years developing strong skills. He was detailed oriented and methodical in his work. Yet his greatest love and passion was for his family, Rodney was a wonderful husband who dearly loved his wife. He gladly shared housework with Roxanne and it was not unusual to find him washing dishes, or folding clothes. He was the "outside" cook and really enjoyed grilling. He was a great Dad who was there for his children. His family meant everything to him. Rodney was thoughtful and considerate of other people
He was an active man who couldn't stay still, he enjoyed the outdoors. He especially cherished his home with its isolation from the city and the peace and quiet of the country. Rodney was a notoriously early riser. As soon as he was up for the day, he turned on the music-loud! He was an accomplished guitar player with a wide appreciation of all music genres. He simply loved music and his soul was moved by it. He had a vast collection of vinyl records that reveal his life time involvement with music. He was a Christian and an ardent member of First Baptist Church in Bells where he was one of the worship leaders. Rodney also served as a Deacon. His steady walk with the Lord was an encouragement to so many people.
Rodney was preceded in death by his dad, Michael Hale; grandparents, Hubert and Susie Sweet, James and Silven Hale; and stepfather, Gene Winkler.
He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Hale; sons, Trever James Hale, David Paul Hale; daughter, Sara Renee Richardson and husband Ryan; mother, Patsy Winkler; brother, Bryan Hale and wife Isila; stepbrother, Travis Winkler; along with an extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

My deepest sympathy. I worked with Rodney at Young Chevrolet for many years. He was a great guy! He loved his family deeply. I always teased him and called him "eeyore" because he never seemed angry, he just did his job at his own pace. He was a wonderful technician and wonderful to work with. My prayers are with you and your family. He will be greatly missed.
