Michael Harless Obituary
Bristol, VA – Michael Lynn Harless, age 48, passed unexpectedly on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at his home. Michael was a graduate of John S. Battle High School and attended Virginia Tech. He was employed with Sprint and more recently Apple as a onboarding manager. He loved gardening, spending time in nature, watching wildlife, traveling, and the drum corps.
He is survived by his husband, Michael Shane Deel; parents, Peggy and Junior Harless; and pets, Asher, Ari, and Anna.
Visitation with the family will be held 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in the Forest Hills Chapel of Farris Funeral Service, 19415 Lee Highway, Abingdon, VA, 24210. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Mr. William Denton officiating. Interment will be held privately in Forest Hills Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help with final expenses, 22142 Benhams Road, Bristol, VA 24202. Those wishing to express sympathy online may do so by visiting www.farrisfuneralservice.com and signing the online guest register.
