Michael Ray Hatfield, 56, of Elk City, Oklahoma was born on August 30, 1968 in Pueblo, Colorado. He is the son of Solomon Dixon and Patricia Kay (Hart) Hatfield. He went to see his Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 5, 2024 in Roger Mills County near Reydon, Oklahoma.
Michael enjoyed watching the deer, collecting old coins, doing woodwork and refurbishing furniture. He loved spending time with his daughter and enjoyed going to the pumpkin patch and telling her dad jokes. His dog, Oreo was his faithful companion. Michael was a member of the First Baptist Church in Elk City, Oklahoma. He loved his church family, including his special friends, David and Becky Tucker, and Chad. Michael will be truly missed by all his family and friends that knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 12, 2024 at First Baptist Church, Elk City, Oklahoma. Rev. Duncan Blackwell will officiate. Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Highland Cemetery, Iowa Park, Texas. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Elk City, Oklahoma.
Cherishing his memory is his daughter, Libby Kaye Harp of Iowa Park, Texas; one brother, Matt Hatfield and his wife, Sherry of Elk City, Oklahoma; one niece, Kelby Hatfield of Elk City, Oklahoma; and one nephew, Eli Hatfield of Elk City, Oklahoma; his dog, Oreo; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Sol and Patricia Hatfield, his maternal grandparents, and paternal grandparents.
Memorials can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, P.O. Box 707, Elk City, Oklahoma City.
