Obituary of Michael James High
Michael "Mike" James High, age 62, of Camdenton, Missouri passed away Thursday, February 23, 2023 at MU Health Care in Columbia, Missouri.
Mike was born May 7, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Jimmie and Jessie (Sievert) High.
On February 14, 2008, Mike was united in marriage to Olivia Mamurko in Camdenton, Missouri. They shared 15 years together at the time of his passing.
Mike enjoyed big game hunting all over the world and traveling. He was also a pilot and a gunsmith. He loved his job at High Brothers Lumber where he worked for 41 years. He enjoyed his position as CEO. His legacy and dedication to the community while working at High Brothers Lumber will continue on through the service of his sons Jim and Colten. Mike was a person you could always rely on, the person that you know will be strong when everyone else isn't. He was the rock of the family and the patriarch. He will always be remembered this way in the family's hearts and souls.
Mike is survived by his wife Olivia High of the home; sons Jim High and wife Carma of Columbia, Missouri and Colten High and wife Faith of Camdenton, Missouri; daughter Crystal Neuman and husband Joseph of Sarasota, Florida; grandchildren Camryn, Kayla, and Malcom; mother Jessie High; and sisters Jamie Hofmann and husband Dave of Overland Park, Kansas and Jana Hunter of Camdenton, Missouri.
Mike was preceded in death by his father Jimmie High.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 27, 2023 at 11:00 am at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. The family will welcome friends for visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to services at the funeral home.
Interment will be held Monday, February 27, 2023 at 3:00 pm at Loftis Cemetery in Willhoit, Missouri.
